The mission of Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology is to support neurology professionals in maintaining their competency and providing better clinical care for patients.
Vision: As the leading source of continuing medical education for neurology practitioners, Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology will offer the best comprehensive and high-quality information on a range of neurology-related topics.
The American Academy of Neurology’s (AAN) approved CME magazine is called Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology®. Continuum®, a comprehensive clinically focused review journal, has been published since 1993 and is intended for practicing neurologists, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, and other professionals in the field of neurology. Each biweekly issue, which is authored by subject-matter specialists, offers the most recent information on a particular topic in neurology.
Continuum aims to reinforce and improve patient care by promoting critical thinking, promoting self-assessment and lifelong learning abilities, and providing timely review articles in an engaging, interactive style. A posttest consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions covering the content covered in the full issue is part of Continuum’s continuing medical education (CME) component. Up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM of self-assessment CME (SA-CME) may be earned for each issue of this activity.
After reviewing Continuum, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) approved it as a component of the comprehensive programme for lifelong learning and self-assessment. This programme is required as a necessary part of continuing certification (CC) by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
The AAN has provided the content in Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology for educational purposes exclusively. The purpose of this material is to give a strategy, view, statement, or opinion of the author(s) that may be useful to others facing similar conditions; it is not intended to represent the only way or process for the medical situations mentioned.
The publisher, its affiliates, or the AAN do not necessarily share the writers’ opinions. The AAN, its affiliates, and the publisher disclaim all responsibility to any person for the availability, correctness, completeness, or efficacy of the information in this publication (including medication dosages), or for any losses resulting from the use or inability to use any of the information.
