The Dissection Manual by Grant serves as the essential guide for basic dissection courses conducted in the laboratory. Its primary objective is to offer detailed dissection guidelines and comprehensive anatomical information to aid students in observing and identifying crucial relationships exposed during dissection. The recently updated 17th edition aims to uphold its longstanding reputation as a regional dissection manual, focusing on enhancing the content of current gross anatomy courses. In order to achieve this goal, the structure of the book has been revised to ensure consistency in the progression of each chapter. Now, all chapters are divided into units, each beginning with a clearly defined title and a brief overview of the specific region under study, followed by three key components of every dissection: general information, step-by-step instructions, and post-dissection considerations.
