Description

An overview of every facet of cardiovascular medicine is given to internists and cardiologists by the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Online Board Review. There will be comprehensive didactic lectures on cutting edge topics in cardiovascular medicine by renowned authorities in each field. The primary goal of this review course is to get the cardiovascular specialist ready for either the cardiovascular boards or recertification. The internist or practicing cardiologist will also receive an update on the most recent developments in cardiovascular medicine from this course. An additional component of the ongoing programme is the Echo Focus Session. Please be aware that the Echo Focus section is “bonus” content and should not be used for board preparation.

Learning Objectives for the Course
After completing this programme, individuals ought to be capable of:

Use this knowledge to properly identify and treat patients by describing the pathophysiology and aetiology of restrictive and other non-dilated cardiomyopathies.
Determine the optimal algorithm for diagnosing venous thromboembolism (VTE) based on a pretest likelihood of disease assessment strategy. Identify and diagnose pulmonary embolism.
Determine the risk variables for cardiovascular disease in individuals who do not have CAD and utilise them to forecast the likelihood of subsequent coronary events.
Determine the antiarrhythmic agents’ categorization and modes of action.
Describe the physiological alterations brought on during pregnancy.
Learning Objectives for the Echo Focus Session

Use Doppler and Echo data to manage patients with a range of cardiovascular diseases.
Determine novel clinically useful echocardiographic modalities, such as strain imaging and tissue Doppler.
With confidence, identify both common and uncommon cardiovascular diseases using echocardiography.
intended audience
This long-term programme is intended for general internists, cardiovascular fellows, and cardiologists, among others. This programme will give practicing cardiologists and internists an update on the most recent findings and developments in cardiovascular medicine, even though its primary goal is to prepare cardiovascular specialists for the cardiovascular boards and/or recertification.
