This course will provide an in-depth analysis of recent advancements in outpatient medicine, debates in primary care, and current developments in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The skills and techniques required in regular office practice will be the main emphasis of the course. The curriculum will cover a wide range of acute and chronic disorders, as well as common issues in ambulatory care and difficult cases in preventive medicine. Additionally, this course will be a great way to refresh your knowledge of office-based skills in neurology, pulmonary medicine, infectious disease, clinical oncology, dermatology, and the treatment of patients with mental health disorders. Discussing difficult clinical issues will be made easier with the help of an audience response system. The UCSF Division of General Internal Medicine under the Department of Medicine is the one offering the course.
