The Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology, established in 1946, is a special review course offered by Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear. It has provided training to aspiring ophthalmologists worldwide and enhanced training for numerous teaching hospitals in the US and Canada.

In 2023, the Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology will be offered virtually online. The four-week course will cover the fundamental and clinical sciences of ophthalmology in a comprehensive and up-to-date manner. Attendance is open to practicing optometrists and ophthalmologists as well as residents. Teachers will provide a multitude of recordings in the online gallery for students to view at their convenience, in addition to live lectures via Zoom.
